The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Welcomes New Superyacht Ilma to its Fleet

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Ilma

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has officially launched its second superyacht, Ilma, marking a significant milestone in luxury travel at sea. The vessel embarked on its maiden voyage on September 2, offering an unforgettable seven-night, all-inclusive journey from Monte Carlo to Rome.

At 790 feet long, Ilma features 224 ocean-view suites, each with private terraces, and accommodates up to 448 guests. This new addition offers one of the highest space-to-guest and staff-to-guest ratios in the industry, ensuring a seamless and personalized luxury experience.

Jim Murren, Executive Chairman and CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, expressed his excitement about the launch, stating, “It is with immense pride and excitement that we welcome Ilma to our growing fleet. Since Evrima’s debut, we have been steadfast in our pursuit of excellence at sea. The addition of Ilma signifies a continuation of our mission to deliver legendary service and unparalleled enjoyment to our guests.”

A Culinary and Leisure Experience Like No Other

Ilma offers a curated selection of dining and leisure venues, including five dining options, six bars, and a signature wine vault. Among the highlights is The Beach House, designed by Toronto-based Chapi Chapo Design, which features an infinity pool for ultimate relaxation. Guests can enjoy coffee and pastries in The Living Room during the mornings, while evenings are brought to life with cocktails, wine, and live music at The Living Room Bar.

For wellness and relaxation, Ilma boasts The Ritz-Carlton Spa, featuring 11 treatment rooms—five with outdoor spaces—alongside three fitness areas. The spa partners with renowned brands such as ESPA, 111SKIN, and Pisterzi to deliver an exclusive and rejuvenating experience.

Designed for Ultimate Luxury

Named after the Maltese word for "water", Ilma is inspired by Maltese mythology and history. Its interior is crafted by the London-based design firm AD Associates, with lighting by DPA, while the exteriors were designed by Helsinki's studio Aivan. A standout feature is The Marina and Marina Terrace, where guests can access the sea through hydraulic platforms and enjoy the water when the yacht is at anchor.

Jenni Benzaquen, Senior Vice President of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts, reflected on the yacht’s role in transforming luxury travel: "The launch of Ilma exemplifies the unwavering dedication of The Ritz-Carlton to setting new benchmarks in luxury travel, with the company’s commitment to thoughtful and transformative travel experiences guiding its mission."

Exploring the World with Ilma

During its inaugural Mediterranean season, Ilma will make stops at iconic destinations like Santorini, Porto Cervo, and Valletta. Afterward, the yacht will head to the Caribbean, visiting beautiful locations such as Virgin Gorda, Gustavia, and St. John.

In the summer of 2025, Ilma will expand its itinerary to include European destinations such as Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Reykjavik, marking The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first foray into the North and Baltic Seas.

Reservations for Ilma are now open, offering discerning travelers an unparalleled luxury cruise experience aboard this stunning new yacht.
